Chavez Concrete Company
Founded in 1952 by Ed Z. Chavez, Chavez Concrete has established itself as the cornerstone of the New Mexico concrete construction industry. What began as a small family business has grown into a significant player in the region, with a reputation for delivering quality and reliability on every project.
Incorporated in 1970, the company saw Ed Z. pass the torch to his sons, Edward G. Chavez and Robert F. Chavez, who took on the roles of President and Vice President, respectively. Edward G. Chavez brought his discipline from serving in the U.S. Air Force, joining the company in 1960, while Bob Chavez added his expertise in 1965, solidifying the leadership that would steer the company through decades of growth.
Today, Chavez Concrete is a third-generation family business, with Dan and Mark Chavez continuing the legacy by playing crucial roles in the company's day-to-day operations. Their hands-on approach ensures that the company maintains the high standards set by their predecessors, focusing on quality, timeliness, and innovative techniques. The firm has consistently expanded its capabilities, now offering a wide range of services focusing on large commercial and industrial projects. Completing everything from small franchise coffee shops to multimillion dollar projects.

Chavez Concrete has played a pivotal role in several significant projects throughout New Mexico, contributing to the construction of key facilities like slabs for Netflix, Santa Fe Presbyterian Medical Center, and single concrete pours in excess of 106,000 totaling over 2600 yards of concrete in one night. These projects not only underscore the company’s versatility but also its commitment to building the community.

One of the company’s most valuable assets is its experienced workforce. Many of the foremen have been with Chavez Concrete for decades, with some boasting over 40 years of service. This deep well of experience, coupled with a strong emphasis on training and internal promotion, ensures that every project benefits from skilled leadership and a cohesive team.
